Snr Network Engineer, LAN, WAN, VPN, Cisco Routers/Switches

Global Investment Manager require a Senior Network Engineer to manage the existing global LAN, WAN, VPN and Wireless network infrastructure, as well as planning, design and migration to a new WAN architecture. You will be responsible for troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues, interfacing with vendors and customers regarding various network security issues, documenting network and security posture settings and standard operating and run-book procedures.

Key Technical Skills / Certifications:

*Extensive practical experience in network and network security engineering / operations / administration, required
*Solid TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, STP, vPC, OTV and other network protocols knowledge.
*Leading projects in support of infrastructure initiatives.
*Demonstrable experience supporting a Cisco routing/switching environment.
*QoS (design and configuration)
*MPLS networks
*IP and VLAN fundamentals
*Cisco IOS, CatOS and NXOS configuration
*DHCP and DNS
*Proficiency in firewall technologies, specifically Cisco ASA / PIX
*Routing & Switching (CCNP or higher)
*Design (CCDP or higher)
*Wireless (CCNP Wireless or higher)
*Effective in managing outsourced service providers and vendor resources.
*Network Security (Perimeter to Edge)
*Experience deploying network infrastructure globally
*Practical experience with other network security products and tools - content monitoring and filtering tools, Windows security (Desirable)
*Nexus class datacentre / campus switches (Desirable)
*Nexus V1000 virtual switching (Desirable)

Key Responsibilities:

*Adoption, deployment and support of new infrastructure standards focused on network security and operations.
*Perform management of global network design and as-built documentation upkeep.
*Provide network support of DR and Business Recovery Operations.
*Support on-going test lab operations.
*Support the evolution of infrastructure virtualization and convergence as it pertains to network design and configuration
*Building and configuring firewalls, managing firewall policies
*VPN access administration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
*Provide end resolution of all escalated network related cases from Operations support teams.
*Administer, maintain and monitor various network devices - routers, switches, etc.
*Configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting the proxy server infrastructure.
*Proxy issues requiring escalation for manufacture intervention for final resolution.
*External and internal SSL certificates management.
*Report to senior management on changes to the security infrastructure and conduct security audits.
*Work to define relationships with technology manufacturers or consulting VAR's to assist with deploying new or migrating existing technologies.
*Provide execution reporting around project deliverables, budget planning and resource utilization.
