The Angel Of Bow
The Angel of Bow - East London Pub

171 Devons Rd, Bow, London E3 3QX

020 7537 3045

The Angel of Bow was built in 1938, just before World War II. As you look around the area you can see that a lot of social housing exists, and very few existing Victorian buildings remain. During World War II, the whole area was extensively bombed. The docks (Docklands) in the 1940’s were the first target to be hit. The pub is about a mile and a half away from Canary Wharf, which is where the docks were, so very close.
