What you’ll get involved in: Your role will involve you taking direct ownership for the creative development, from briefing to production and analysis, of EMAIL, SMS and Direct Mail campaigns. You will be required to support on the delivery of continuous improvements through planning and development of robust test & control frameworks and rigorous pre and post campaign analysis leading to recommendations for campaign optimisation. You’ll work closely with our internal planning and data teams as well as our external partners to ensure campaigns are optimised and executed to the highest possible standards. As our Marketing Executive you will also : • understand our customers – their needs, wants and behaviours • be able to define, analyse and evaluate relevant and meaningful MI on a weekly and monthly basis, and produce practical recommendations for change • work to annual budgets and re-forecasts across multiple channels that integrate into wider marketing spend • help drive innovation, challenge the status quo and act as a customer champion to drive improvement across marketing activities Our Ideal Marketing Executive: This is a perfect role for an ambitious marketing executive who is looking to make an impact in a growing team. You’ll already have some direct marketing experience under your belt and will hopefully have worked in financial services before. Ideally you’ll have a degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing or Business Studies. Job Responsibility of Marketing Communication Manager, Special Hazards (EU&AF): · Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales and other Marcom team members to support the business goals of growth, brand support, product introduction and annual marketing communications plan. · Develop and implement an annual marketing communications plan to support the Special Hazards business growth objectives. · Manage the Product Marketing EU&AF budget, be accountable for tracking and reporting marketing spend against budget and ensuring spend brings value to the brand/company. · Manage vendor relationships and negotiate local supplier agreements. · Manage the implementation of integrated marketing campaigns that will make an impact, support the brand and drive measurable enquiries and sales leads. Ability to recommend and employ innovative ways to reach target audiences. · Direct agencies and integrate marketing programs to drive “Thought Leadership” by creating relationships that will deliver articles and media coverage to achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across a range of different media. · Provide brand creative direction for advertising and promotional material, technical materials and copywriting. Ensure brand compliance across all creative material. · Integrate global messaging into trade shows customer events, media and market facing material, aligned with strategic objectives. · Develop and implement marketing communications plans in line with the global strategy and in support of the regional needs. · Manage regular customer and market communications via e-newsletters, maintaining mailing databases and purchasing advertising media space lists for direct mail campaigns, including target market programs. · Actively share best practices with the EU&AF and global marketing team. Working with a small team of database marketing professionals and with the Marketing and MIS teams the Database Marketing Manager will lead the technical implementation and evolution of all closed loop multi-channel campaigns. Coming from a background of database marketing and digital innovation, the Database Marketing Manager will be comfortable working in a diverse and challenging environment. The Database Marketing Manager will act as a passionate data ambassador and will demonstrate the organization’s values – Reliable, Expert, Dynamic and Straightforward (REDS) – and associated behaviors, at all times. Key responsibilities include: Implementation of automated CRM programs for agreed campaigns to time quality and budget. Delivery of automated CRM functionality with economies of scale across all channels. Provide advice and assistance for business stakeholders around campaign measurement and testing, implementing the necessary elements into campaigns for ongoing analysis and improvement. Based on the business identified and agreed business requirements, work closely with the CIO team to implement and evolve Campaign Management functionality. Define automation capabilities for new campaign concepts. Support the Marketing Teams as necessary, assisting in the definition, implementation and measurement of their approved campaigns. Working with the Head of Data Science and Web Analytics implement regular performance reports on initiatives including performance against KPIs. Ensure that campaigns are well documented, targeting the right audience and are complaint with Data Protection policies. Consolidate data in to one single customer database: customer contact points; Aldermore products purchased; any transactional data elements for the purchases products; transactional communication history; customer supplied communication preferences. Deploy initial checkpoint process for campaign briefing, building, QA and running – create a simplified campaign delivery process and with lean process flows deploy in a system accessible to all parties. Define business segments for contactable, non-contactable etc – central to compliance with DPA and GDPR principles is the activity of defining, documenting and deploying business rules. These rules will be built and deployed in the consolidated customer data store. Assist in the creation and maintenance of key marketing data related artefacts, owning certain deliverables end to end where appropriate: Policies and procedures Data Quality report Marketing data retention schedule Marketing data management of product, customer and reference data Marketing processes Must possess a blend of business and IT elements with soft skills to influence and negotiate decisions. Must be able to understand technical discussions and to communicate at all levels in simplistic non-technical terms, must be comfortable to challenge scope and validate requirements to achieve 100% accuracy The Person.
